Threadkins are made to last for years with almost no effort. They never need water and they will not wilt, but a little care keeps them looking the way they did the day they arrived. Here is everything you need to know.
How do I clean a crochet flower or character?
Spot-clean with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, then let it air dry. For dust, a quick going-over with a lint roller or a hairdryer on the cool setting works well.
Can they get wet?
A damp cloth is fine. Avoid soaking them or putting them in the washing machine, which can stretch the stitches and the stuffing. Air dry only, never a tumble dryer.
How do I keep the colours bright?
Keep them out of long, direct sunlight, the same as you would a printed photo. Acrylic yarn holds colour well, but constant sun fades anything over time.
How do I reshape one?
Squish and smooth it back into shape with your fingers. Petals and ears are meant to be adjusted, so do not be shy with them.
Will they last?
Yes. With basic care a Threadkin keeps for years on a desk, a shelf, or in a vase. If anything ever goes wrong, email us and we will help.
